institute for banking and insurance. Well known Croatian economists and financial advisors will give their opinions on the strategy of the development of the financial sector and its role in the development of the economy. Opening the seminar, Mate Babic of Zagreb's Economy Faculty pointed to the connection between the financial and real economic sector, which, in his opinion, were inseparable. The financial sector mobilises savings and grants loans. Without savings there would be no investments, and without investments there is no economic growth, Babic said. Greeting the present, president of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce
Nadan Visosevic said he hoped Croatian banks would, in the future,
follow economic projects.
The present were also greeted by Croatia's First Deputy Prime
Minister's envoy, Haris Boko, who advocated Croatia's accelerated
joining the sphere of electronic business activities, and the
Croatian National Bank deputy governor Boris Vujcic.
