ZAGREB, Nov 16 (Hina) - Croatian parliament speaker Zlatko Tomcic on Thursday received a delegation of the United States National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), the Croatian parliament media and public relations
office said in a statement. The talks focused on the current political situation in the region and the continuation of the democratisation process in Croatia. The NDI provides practical assistance to civic and political leaders advancing democratic values, head of the NDI delegation Kenneth D. Wollack said and expressed a wish for the NDI to continue successful work in Croatia. Speaker Tomcic thanked the NDI for its support and informed the NDI delegation of constitutional amendments which regulate balanced relations between the parliament, government and President.
