As regards the vote for the Bosnian state parliament, of 835,000
processed ballots in the Croat-Moslem entity (the Federation), SDP
has gained 27 percent of votes. It is followed by the (Moslem) Party
of Democratic Action (SDA) with 27 percent, the Croatian Democratic
Union (HDZ) with 26.6 percent and Haris Silajdzic's Party for
Bosnia-Herzegovina with 15.4 percent.
A majority of voters in the Serb entity voted for the Serb
Democratic Party (SDS) deputies to the state parliament. The SDS
has won 41.8 percent of ballots cast by 514,000 voters. The Party of
the Democratic Progress (PDP) has mustered 16.4 percent and is
followed by the Party of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) with
12.2 percent.
As regards the elections for the federal parliament, the SDA has
taken the lead with 26.8 percent of 826,000 counted votes. The SDP
is the second-ranked with 26.3 percent, while the third is the HDZ
with 17.6 percent.
So far, 514,000 ballots have been counted, cast for the new
composition in the Serb entity's parliament. The SDS is likely to
record a victory (it has to date mustered 28 percent). The second-
ranked SNSD with 14.7 percent, while the PDP has received 13.1
percent.
Mirko Sarovic - SDS candidate in the presidential race in the
Republic of Srspka - is certainly the winner of this vote with 51.3
percent of ballots. Milorad Dodik, the incumbent premier in this
half of Bosnia, has so far won 27.8 percent.
