Croatian-American military manoeuvres are being held. At yesterday's session of the Slunj town council it was stressed that walls of houses in Slunj were cracking because of detonations. The Croatian government allowed military manoeuvres on the "Eugen Kvaternik" military range, and the Defence Ministry is in charge of implementation, Environmental Protection Ministry spokeswoman Mirjana Petir told Hina Tuesday. The Environmental Protection Ministry has not yet received an official note from the Defence Ministry on possible damage the manoeuvres might inflict on the environment, Petir stressed.(hina) it JN
