ZAGREB, Oct 30 (Hina) - The Croatian Ministry for the Protection of Environment and Urban Planning on Monday issued a statement reading that Minister Bozo Kovacevic, immediately after he was told that a cistern with sulphuric acid
overturned near Slunj on Friday, got involved in activities aiming at alleviation of consequences of the accident and had contacted all competent services. After the incident, Slunj town authorities demanded the resignation of three ministers, including Minister Kovacevic, adding Kovacevic was also responsible for the consequences of the ecological incident in Slusnica, where 7,500 litres of sulphuric acid leaked out of the overturned cistern.
