EXPERT TEAMS TO ARRIVE AT PLACE WHERE CISTERN OVERTURNED

KARLOVAC/ZAGREB, Oct 28 (Hina) - Karlovac police late Friday evening said in a statement that sulphuric acid was no longer leaking out of a cistern which overturned in the town of Slusinci near Karlovac (50km south of Zagreb) earlier Friday. The cistern has been removed from the road, but the police are still on the place of the accident. The accident on the Plitvice road (running from Karlovac to Dalmatia) occurred at 3:50PM. The cistern, containing 8,000 litres of sulphuric acid, overturned onto its side and slid along the road. About 7,000 litters of sulphuric acid leaked out of the overturned cistern onto the Plitvice road Friday night. Traffic from both sides of the road was detoured to roads through Duga Resa, Josipdol, Zuta Lokva and Otocac.
