CSFB AND ZAGREBACKA BANK FINANCIAL ADVISORS OF LURA D.D.

ZAGREB, Oct 19 (Hina) - Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) from London and the Zagrebacka Bank d.d. are financial advisors of Lura d.d., the management of the greatest manufacturer of dairy products said in a statement Thursday. As a part of a recently concluded two-month engagement, CSFB and the Zagrebacka Bank will estimate Lura's potential, analyse its competition in relation to similar companies, and assess the most favourable options of the source of capital Lura needs for the expansion of business activities at domestic and particularly at foreign markets, as well as for investments in the development and technology. Last year, Lura's total income amounted to 1.3 billion kuna (DM325 million), while in the last five years over 600 million kuna (DM150 million) have been invested in new technologies, the production, distribution and marketing. Lura has over 120 products under the name brands of Dukat, Sirela and Mlijeko Velebitskih Pasnjaka. CSFB is one of the ten greatest financial groups in the world, very active in central European countries. Lura hired the Zagrebacka Bank in the process of selecting foreign advisor, while CSFB was chosen among several greatest world's investment banks. (hina) it
