WEEK OF CROATIA OPENS IN ALEXANDRIA

ZAGREB/CAIRO, Oct 10 (Hina) - A one-week exhibition, entitled "Croatia - Tourist and Economic Potential", was opened in Alexandria on Sunday. Attending the opening ceremony were more than 200 business people from Alexandria, reporters and diplomats. The event, organised by the Croatian embassy and the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, was opened by Croatia's Ambassador Drago Stambuk and the president of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, Moustafa Yakout El Naggar. Addressing the gathered, Stambuk said the cooperation between Croatia and Egypt was steadily improving. The exhibition, held under the slogan "A Beautiful Country for A Great Holiday," features films on Croatia's natural beauties and tourist attractions and other topics from Croatia's heritage, culture and economy. The event had been announced by the highest-circulation Egyptian dailies Al Ahram and Al Akhbar and the opening ceremony was broadcast by the Egyptian national television. Promotional materials from the exhibition, intended for the Information Centre of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, sold like hot cakes proving great interest in Croatia's tourist and economic offer, the embassy reported.
