"While we follow today's occurrences on the streets of Belgrade,
particularly in front of the Federal Assembly, we sincerely believe
we are witnesses to an end to an undemocratic regime of Slobodan
Milosevic," a statement read Thursday by the Government's
spokeswoman Aleksandra Kolaric said.
The conflict between Milosevic's regime and his own citizens and
people is evident, and the chaos on the streets of Belgrade is proof
of the amount of frustration the people feel towards the regime
which, even after the elections, does not want to stand down before
the election's victors, the statement read.
The democratic Croatia primarily wishes for a democratic Serbia to
be its neighbour, as soon as possible, and to the benefit of
Croatia, Serbia as well as the international community.
Residents have gone out on the streets of Belgrade, protesting
against their President's regime and resistance to step down from
power.
Protesters have been rallying out in the streets, particularly in
front of the Federal Assembly building which has been set on fire.
