ZAGREB, Oct 4 (Hina) - At the beginning of Wednesday morning's session of the Croatian national parliament's House of Representatives, the parliament endorsed a motion by representatives of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and
forwarded amendments to the penal code to the third reading with a conclusion representatives should voice their opinion on this at the same time as on the law on drugs. Amendments to the penal code read that the possession of small quantity of drugs is not longer classified as a crime but as misdemeanour. The amendments caused a heated discussion at which many representatives demanded that draft amendments undergo some finishing touches and that they be sent to the third reading.
