"All gain in unified Europe, both large and small peoples. Once
Europe is unified this model will be applicable to others too, and I
am confident war as a means will be excluded," said Mesic.
Commenting earlier on his trip to Bulgaria, the Croatian president
said it had been concluded during talks with Bulgarian officials
that both countries wanted to integrate into Euro-Atlantic
institutions as soon as possible and that "they can help each other
in this."
"This visit has given both countries big chances to develop
cooperation in all fields," Mesic said, assessing the visit an
outstanding success.
