ZAGREB, Sept 29 (Hina) - Foreign exchange reserves of the Croatian National Bank at the end of August amounted to about US$3.5 billion, while the foreign exchange reserves of commercial banks at the same time were in excess of US$2.3
billion, the central bank's Bulletin reports. At the beginning of this year the Bank's foreign exchange reserves were US$2.8 billion while those of commercial banks amounted to US$1.6 billion. During the past summer months, July and August, the foreign currency assets skyrocketed due to the high offer of foreign currency in the summer months.(hina) lml jn
