The head of the APEL centre for the protection of the human rights of missing and imprisoned persons and their families, Zdenka Farkas, said Croatia was still searching for 1,588 imprisoned and abducted Croatian soldiers and civilians. The centre, which organised yesterday's commemoration, has requested the Croatian authorities to gather and file documents about all Homeland War victims. This way, Farkas said, the families of the killed and missing could file complaints with the United Nations for the violation of the basic human rights.
