ZAGREB, Sept 18 (Hina) - The presidency of the Croatian postal workers' union decided to postpone a warning strike it had set for 20 September, after it held talks with the Croatian Post administration and the Interior Ministry on
Monday. The union announced the strike protesting over insufficient protection of postal workers against armed robberies, muggings and other kinds of physical assaults. The strike was called off after the management and Interior Ministry representatives informed unionists about measures which were being taken to enhance the security and safety of post offices and workers. A joint commission was set-up which should hold sessions every day until the commencement of the settlement of security problems, the union reported. The union warned it would organise a strike if relevant factors failed to start solving those problems by 1 November.(hina) jn ms
