General Ivan Andabak, arrested in the Croatian town of Karlovac on Tuesday, was a close associate to Mladen Naletilic Tuta, a Bosnian Croat awaiting trial before the ICTY for atrocities he allegedly committed in the Mostar area. Andabak was a deputy commander of Tuta's Convicts' Battalion. The name of Ivan Andabak was cited by the Croatian media last year when Naletilic Tuta was in the Zagreb prison hospital and when Andabak was allegedly planning to carry out with 50 former members of the Convicts' Battalion Naletilic's abduction from the infirmary. Brigadier Ignac Kostroman, apprehended in the Croatian town of Knin yesterday, used to be in charge of the propaganda and political activities in the war-time (Bosnian Croat) Herzeg-Bosnian structures during the Croat-Moslem conflict. Kostroman was a close aide to Dario Kordic, an ICTY indictee. (hina) ms
