ZAGREB, Sept 7 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic on Thursday sent a message of condolence to the family of Pero Simundza, a Croat member of the UNHCR Mission in West Timor, who was killed in an attack by pro-Indonesian militia
on a UNHCR base in Atambua in West Timor on Wednesday. "I was shocked at the news about the death of this brave young man who was brutally killed in the peace mission. I know there are no words of comfort for his dearest ones, but his mission, in which he sacrificed his life caring for so many unfortunate ones, will forever do credit to his dearest ones, his town and homeland. I hope you will find some comfort in this. Please accept my deepest sympathy and respect," read the message.(hina) rml
