VINKOVCI, Sept 7 (Hina) - Five Iranians were arrested by police near the eastern Croatian town of Zupanja on Wednesday after they illegally crossed into Croatia. A Croatian national, Ilija K., was also apprehended as he helped them to
pass illegally from Bosnia-Herzegovina to Croatia. According to a statement released by the Vukovar-Sirmium County police, during the control of traffic in the town of Posavski Podgajci near Zupanja, policemen stopped a car with Zagreb licence plates, driven by Ilija K. Besides him, there were the five illegal immigrants in the car. Charges will be pressed against the Iranians for the illegal entrance in Croatia and against the Croatian citizen for assisting them in the illegal transfer over the border.(hina) ms
