ZAGREB, Aug 28 (Hina) - The Central Committee of the Croatian Association of parents of killed Croatian Homeland War soldiers concluded at a session held on August 26 that the state should not pass a new Law on the rights of Homeland
War Soldiers and their families. The Association feels contentions regarding some stipulations and provisions of the law could be removed by passing adequate amendments, the statement read. The Association deems it necessary to harmonise the period of the Homeland War with the Croatian Constitution in considering the acquired rights of killed soldiers' families, while the term Homeland War volunteer should be harmonised with the Law on Defence, keeping in mind killed volunteers. The Central Committee added a few comments on the draft law which will be forwarded to the Croatian Homeland War Soldiers' Ministry, the Association said in a statement Monday.(hina) lml
