ZAGREB, Aug 27 (Hina) - The Adriatic highway was closed for traffic at Rotac, Veliki Zali and Slano (the Dubrovnik area), owing to fires. Blazes in Dubrovnik-Neretva County hindered traffic on several local and regional roads, the
Croatian Automobile Club (HAK) reported on early Sunday morning. In Split-Dalmatia County, the highway near Omis, which drivers could not use overnight due to a fire, was re-opened for traffic this morning. Other county roads are also open. The HAK warned drivers that fires near roads passing through Vrgorac and Kamensko were still active. The roads are open, but drivers are asked to exercise maximum caution while driving along them, as thick smoke and fire-fighting vehicles are hampering normal traffic. According to the HAK, ferry services are regular, and there are no queues at border crossings.(hina) ms
