ZADAR ARRESTED WITH FORGED BANKNOTES ZADAR, Aug 19 (Hina) - Police in the central Adriatic port of Zadar on Saturday turned over to the Zadar County Court investigating judge two Bulgarian citizens charged with making transactions in
forged Italian lire. Thirty-seven-year old I.T. and 24-year-old D.M.D. were charged with exchanging nine ITL100,000 banknotes for the Croatian currency kuna in an exchange office in the nearby town of Biograd a few days ago. After the exchange, the two Bulgarians fled but were soon arrested by Sibenik police who drove them to Zadar today. The Zadar Municipal State Prosecutor's Office suggested that they be detained.
