ZAGREB, June 24 (Hina) - A month-long detention was ordered on Monday for Pavo Zubak, owner of Auto Centre Zubak, Croatia's largest automobile company, and one of the owners of Vecernji List, the nation's largest circulation daily
paper. Zubak has also been put under investigation on suspicion that he forged an official document and abused power in economic transactions. Investigating Judge Jasenka Grgic told Hina today an alteration was made in the investigation ruling's second article which charged Zubak with tax evasion. He is now charged with abuse of power in economic transactions. Zubak's attorney Zvonimir Hodak announced he would appeal the ruling. He said Zubak was now charged with a 33.5 million kuna (US$4.1 million) illegal property gain, and not with evading tax on said amount as was stated initially.(hina) ha mm
