ZAGREB, Aug 17 (Hina) - Croatia will not be able to overcome the economic and social crisis unless the government, the trade unions, and employers reach an accord, Croatian Employers' Association (HUP) head manager Zeljko Ivancevic
told reporters in Zagreb on Thursday. Ivancevic reminded of a draft agreement HUP forwarded to the government this spring. The agreement, on joint activity aimed at creating new fundamental conditions for overcoming the economic and social crisis, has not yet been responded to. economic and social crisis unless the government, the trade unions,

(HUP) head manager Zeljko Ivancevic told reporters in Zagreb on
Thursday.
Ivancevic reminded of a draft agreement HUP forwarded to the
government this spring. The agreement, on joint activity aimed at
creating new fundamental conditions for overcoming the economic
and social crisis, has not yet been responded to.
Ivancevic said the draft contained the agreement's starting
points, including the obligations of all partners, i.e. the trade
unions, the employers and the government, and a salary policy. He
added other fields of special interest might be added, or be defined
as part of the "Croatian Strategy for the 21st Century."
The trade unions too extended their ideas on solutions to Croatia's
economic and social crisis, Ivancevic reminded, saying he was
confident the government, as the third social partner, this autumn
would show much more willingness to participate in social
dialogue.
