ZADAR, SIBENIK COUNTIES, KVARNER REGION ZADAR, Aug 8 (Hina) - A total of 56,504 tourists, of whom 40,229 foreign nationals, are vacationing in the area of Zadar County, which is a 19 percent increase in comparison to last year and a
four percent increase in relation to the best post-war year of 1998, the Zadar County Tourism Board reported. Most guests are spending their holidays in the Zadar area and the nearby Nin. According to data from the Sibenik County Tourism Board, 37,240 tourists - 10,727 domestic and 26,513 foreign - are vacationing in the Sibenik County area. Compared to the same period last year, this is a 62 percent increase. Most of the guests are vacationing in Vodice, Sibenik and Primosten. The Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Tourism Board reported 126,953 tourists were vacationing in the northern Adriatic Kvarner region last weekend, which is a 23 percent increase in relation to last year. year. Of this number, 109,861 are foreign tourists, mostly
Italians, Germans, Slovenes and Austrians.
Most tourists are vacationing on the islands of Krk, Cres and
Losinj, Crikvenica and Novi Vinodolski, the island of Rab and
Opatija.
