ZAGREB ARCHBISHOP BOZANIC VISITS SERB SHRINE OF OPLENAC

KRAGUJEVAC, Aug 8 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Bishops' Conference and Zagreb Archbishop, Josip Bozanic, met Sumadija Episcope Sava in Kragujevac on Monday. Bozanic, who headed a Croatian Bishops' Conference delegation on a visit to Yugoslavia, started his visit to Serbia's southern region of Sumadija by visiting the Serb shrine of Oplenac near Topola. He was welcomed by Episcope Sava at St. George's Church. After viewing the church's artefacts, Archbishop Bozanic visited the graves of the members of the Karadjordjevic royal line, Croatian radio reported. After the visit to Topola, Bozanic visited a monument erected in memory of World War II victims in Sumarice. The Sumadija bishop took his guests on a tour of several churches and monasteries in the Kragujevac area.
