ZAGREB, July 13 (Hina) - The average net salary in April in Croatia amounted to 3,207 kuna (about US$400), which is a nominal decrease of 2.9 percent and a 3.7 percent real decrease in relation to March, the State Institute for
Statistics reported. In relation to April last year, the average net salary in April this year registered a nominal increase of 5.3 percent and a one percent real increase. The average salary in the period between January and April this year amounted to 3,220 kuna, which is a nominal increase of 8.5 percent and a real increase of 4.5 percent in relation to the same period last year. According to the Institute's data, the highest average net salary for April, amounting to 6,455 kuna, was paid in insurance and pension funds, not including obligatory insurance, in air transport (5,202 kuna) and financial transactions (5,032 kuna). The lowest average salary was registered in leather processing
(1,628 kuna), textile and clothing industry (1,764 kuna) and wood
processing industry (1,905 kuna).
