DJAKOVO, July 2 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic and associates on Sunday morning attended the main celebration of the 34th traditional folklore manifestation, "Djakovacki Vezovi" (Djakovo Embroidery), in Djakovo, eastern
Croatia. About 3,000 participants from about 60 cultural clubs from Croatia and abroad, as well as 25 horse-drawn carts joined in a folklore groups' parade in downtown Djakovo. President Mesic, the event's principal patron, said the entire Slavonia region accepted the manifestation and that it should be continued. He also commended Croatia's cultural traditions. Before the parade, President Mesic held talks with Osijek-Baranja County prefect Marko Bagaric and Djakovo mayor Darko Vrtaric.
