OBROVAC, June 22 (Hina) - The head of the Pentagon department for humanitarian demining, George Zahacaczewsky, on Thursday visited a testing ground for metal mine detectors in Krusevo near Obrovac, in the Zadar hinterland. Twenty-nine
types of mine detectors are being tested on the testing ground in Krusevo. According to Obrovac mayor Ante Zupan, who today also visited the testing site, the pilot project which is being implemented in Krusevo was worth EUR51,000. Apart from Croatia, the project also includes the United States, Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Italy. The testing of metal detectors will last until the end of June this year.(hina) rml
