CAKOVEC, June 20 (Hina) - Hungarian Transportation Minister Laszlo Nogradi on Tuesday evening arrived in Croatia and was welcomed by Deputy Croatian Transportation and Communications Minister Pavao Komadina. The Hungarian Minister
said his country would start to build a highway between Siofok at the Balaton Lake and the border crossing with Croatia, Gorican. Works should be completed by late 2002, or mid 2003 the latest. The Hungarian Minister said 250,000 Hungarians would spend summer vacation in Croatia this year, which is another reason to build a part of the highway Budapest-Gorican-Zagreb-Rijeka. Nogradi will tomorrow hold talks in the northern Adriatic port of Rijeka on Hungary's investments in the port.
