ZAGREB, June 19 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister Vesna Cvjetkovic-Kurelec on Monday began a two-day visit to Ireland. Her visit follows only ten days after Economy Minister Goranko Fizulic made a trip to Dublin. According to
a statement from the Foreign Ministry, the aim of Cvjetkovic-Kurelec's visit is to intensify political relations between Croatia and Ireland, especially in view of upcoming negotiations on a Croatia-European Union agreement on stabilisation and association. Due to its cultural, economic and development features, Ireland's experience and support in accessing the EU could be very useful to Croatia, the statement reads. In Ireland, Cvjetkovic-Kurelec will meet the Foreign Ministry's state minister Liz O'Donnel and secretary Margaret Hennessy, and the chairman of parliament's foreign affairs committee, Desmond O'Malley.(hina) ha jn
