LI PENG VISITS DUBROVNIK

DUBROVNIK DUBROVNIK, June 18 (Hina) - China's National People's Congress Chairman Li Peng, who was on a two-day visit to southern-most Croatian areas, on Sunday was received by Dubrovnik County Deputy Prefect Pero Cvjetovic and the town's assembly chairman Djuro Kolic. On that occasion, local authorities informed Li Peng and a Chinese delegation of the history of Dubrovnik, placing emphasis on the Dubrovnik diplomacy in the past when diplomats had helped their hometown to settle all problems in a peaceful manner. Present at Sunday's reception in the Town Hall was the Croatian National Parliament's Deputy Speaker Zdravko Tomac. Tomac, who is the head of the Sabor's foreign affairs committee, spoke of the relations between Croatia and China. He described China as a respectasble world power with the highest growth rate.
