ZAGREB, June 16 (Hina) - A great fire broke out at Plano near the coastal town of Trogir (southern Croatia) shortly after 02.00 pm Friday. Owing to a strong gale, the fire spread towards the village of Seget Gornji (a few kilometre of
Plano). About 250 hectares of low plant cover and vegetables are assessed to have been burnt to date, the Croatian Television reported on Friday. Besides professional fire-fighters from nearby towns, volunteers have been engaged in extinguishing the fire. Until dusk, two fire-fighting planes and two helicopter were engaged in the operation. During the night over 100 fire-fighters and 25 vehicles continued to extinguish the fire, but a wind rendered their work very difficult.(hina) ms
