ZAGREB, June 16 (Hina) - The Export-Import Bank from the United States will start examining Southeast Europe's market this month for possibilities of placing U.S. product, the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb said on Friday. The countries
included in the project are Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, and Romania. The bank plans on opening a regional office in Zagreb, in cooperation with U.S. agency Trade Development and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. Margaret Kostic will be appointed director of the initiative, and her task will be to meet government officials and private sector representatives of the region's countries. The Ex-Im Bank is an independent U.S. government agency which assists in financing U.S. export, primarily on new markets around the world, through loans, collateral, and insurance.(hina) ha
