KOPRIVNICA, June 7 (Hina) - The general assembly of Koprivnica-based Podravska Banka on Wednesday adopted a report on last year's business, when the bank made 5.5 million kuna (US$663,000) in profit. An interesting fact is that the
profit doubled despite a drop in the entire earnings and expenditures in comparison with 1998. The bank will pay out dividends in the amount of 28 kuna per preferred share. The balance sum at the end of last year amounted to 454.7 million kuna (US$54.8 million), whereas the bank's capital was 116 million kuna (US$14 million). Stock capital amounts to 62.9 million kuna (US$7.58 million), the number of stockholders is 4,523, none of which has individually more than ten percent in shares. Podravska Banka intends to keep the present share of one percent on Croatia's banking market, which ranks it 20th among about 50 banks. The bank's assembly today appointed a new supervisory
