HANNOVER HANNOVER, June 9 (Hina) - A Croatian Deputy Prime Minister, Zeljka Antunovic, on Friday evening opened an archaeological show "Magical Istria" and a photo exhibition "Sea" by Damir Fabijanic, in Hannover, on the occasion of
Croatia Day at the world exhibition "Expo 2000". The Croatian National Day will be marked on Saturday in Hannover when Croatian Premier Ivica Racan is to come in this German city. Presenting the two shows, Croatian Ambassador to UNESCO, Vesna Girardi Jurkic said the project had been envisaged two years before. The intention was to present the history of Istria as a part of Croatian culture and art from pre-history to date. Prior to the opening of the exhibition Croatian Deputy PM Antunovic, who is the national commissioner for EXPO, held talks with Hannover Mayor Herbert Schmalstieg and signed the golden book of this city.(hina) ms
