BRIJUNI, June 4 (Hina) - Croatia's Minister of Environmental Protection and Physical Planning, Bozo Kovacevic, on Saturday presented individuals, groups, schools, local authorities and firms, with the awards for their achievement in
the environmental protection. The award-giving ceremony was held on the island of Brijuni, which is a national park in Croatia. The annual awards have been given by the environmental protection ministry in Croatia for eight years on the occasion of Earth Day. At the ceremony on Saturday night Minister Kovacevic announced several actions and more effective activities of this ministry. He said they would draft a national strategy for the environmental protection and a new law on this matter.
