KARLOVAC KARLOVAC, June 3 (Hina) - Mine clearance experts on Saturday discontinued their job in areas along the Karlovac-Tusilovic section of the Plitvice road (some 60 kilometres south of Zagreb) for this summer season. Therefore,
the temporary ban on traffic on that road is no more in effect. The Karlovac-based mine removal centre reported that they would resume clearing mines after the tourist season, in the beginning of September. For two months, working from 08.00 am to 01.00 pm every day experts from the 'Mungos' company removed mines from over 340,000 square metres of areas beside the Plitvice road, which were believed to be mine-infested. In that period they removed 106 mines and other explosive devices, the same source reported.(hina) ms
