ZAGREB, May 26 (Hina) - Croatia's Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bozidar Pankretic on Friday held talks with Belgian Ambassador Luc Liebaut on the implementation of a development programme for eastern Slavonia, which is financed by
Belgium's government. The programme envisages expanding the capacities of Nova Gradiska-based brewer's barley factory Slavonija Slad, which was founded with capital of Belgian company Boormalat. Slavonija Slad would build a new factory, worth US$1.8 million, expected to double production up to 50,000 tonnes of brewer's barley. Besides financing the construction of a factory, the programme covers the financing of brewer's barley growing over 2,000 hectares.
