VUKOVAR, May 25 (Hina) - A deputy head of the OSCE co-ordination in
the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar, Nickolay Ratsiborinsky,
viewed massages and ethnically abusive graffiti that appeared on a
wall the Catholic monastery on Wednesday as the violation of the
public peace and order.
He described the contents of the graffiti as propaganda and
provocation opposite to interests of all citizens in this area who
are expected to show responsible conduct.
The OSCE representative added that he was also expecting from

On Wednesday morning a message "This Is Great Serbia" written in
English and an ethnically insulting curse with the symbol of four
Cyrillic letters "S" were found on a wall of the flat of the guardian
of the Catholic monastery.
Ratsiborinsky confirmed the Organisation for Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) had been informed of the incident and
OSCE observers were following the probe local police was
conducting.
Asked to comment on yesterday's statement of Guardian Zlatko Spehar
who asserted that this and another incidents in this war-hit town
had disturbed returnees and that "the happening of people" could be
again noticed within the Serb community, Ratsiborinsky responded
that the OSCE was against generalisation.
I reiterate that any incident is against the interest of citizens of
this town regardless of their ethnic or religious descent, he
said.
