ZAGREB, May 24 (Hina) - Adrew Vorkink, the new appointed director of for Croatia in the World Bank, will be in charge for the newly formed section of the World Bank for the countries of south and central Europe which, apart from
Croatia, include Bulgaria and Romania, the World Bank Croatia reported on Wednesday. Vorkink will replace director Arntraud Hartmann who was in charge for Croatia and Albania. Until 1998, Vorkink was the director for Bulgaria and Romania. He is specialised for the issue of the countries' joining the European Union. Vorking will officially take over his duty on June 1, and his first visit to Croatia is scheduled for mid June, when he will be the head of the World Bank mission in negations with the Croatian Government.
