ZAGREB, May 23 (Hina) - The Amnesty Commission on Tuesday held a constituent session at which it endorsed a rule book on the work, and established criteria which would be applied in amnesty proceedings of convicted persons proposed to
the Croatian President, the President's Office reported Tuesday. The Commission will have to work fast because there are many unsolved amnesty requests due to a delay which is the result of the change in authority. On the occasion of Croatian Statehood Day, May 30, the commission proposed to the Croatian president the amnesty of a decrease of sentences to a larger number of convicted persons. Apart from president Josip Boljkovac, who was the first interior minister in the Croatian Democratic Union's (HDZ) Government in 1990, the commission also includes Croatian Justice Minister Stjepan Ivanisevic, former representative of the Croatian People's Party Srecko Bijelic, assistant interior
