CRO FIRST DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER MEETS BRITISH FIREFIGHTERS

ZAGREB, May 23 (Hina) - First Deputy Prime Minister Goran Granic on Tuesday met a British firefighters' delegation, which together with the humanitarian organisation 'Operation Florian' has donated 11 fully equipped firefighting vehicles to the Slavonija-Baranja region. Granic thanked for the donation and the help Great Britain has been providing to Croatia in the field of firefighting. More than 200 firefighting vehicles were destroyed in Croatia during the Homeland War, and over the past six years 'Operation Florian' donated 28 vehicles with additional equipment and participated in the training of Croatian firefighters. The British delegation will also meet Interior Minister Sime Lucin and hold talks at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce on cooperation in the production of firefighting equipment.
