DUBROVNIK, May 2 (Hina) - A two-day conference entitled Year of the Stability Pact for the South-East of Europe -- Way Ahead which will discuss Croatia's work so far within the Stability Pact began in Dubrovnik on Monday. The
conference is being held under the organisation of the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly committee for business and development. It gathers some 60 participants including 40 representatives of Council of Europe member countries. The conference was opened by the committee chairman, Helle Degn. Addressing the attendants, Croatian Parliament vice-president

"Croatia has passed or is passing a number of laws protecting human
rights and the freedom of rights of members of all national
minorities at the highest European level," Arlovic said.
He added that the adoption of a number of bilateral and multilateral
documents was initiated, which should ensure the freedom of
movement for goods, people and capital in the region.
