ANCONA ANCONA, May 19 (hina) - A ministers' meeting on the development and security in the Adriatic and the Ionian Sea started in the Italian port of Ancona Friday. The meeting is attended by foreign ministers of Slovenia, Croatia,
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Greece and Italy. The signing of the Ancona statement, according to which countries in the region would pledge to cooperation and security, is expected to take place at the end of the meeting. The Croatian delegation is headed by Foreign Minister Tonino Picula. Croatia, along with Italy, is chairing the Round Table for economic cooperation, tourism and maritime transport. The Conference in organised in four round tables -- for economy, the environment protection, cooperation between universities and struggle against crimes.
