ZAGREB, May 18 (Hina) - The Serb Democratic Forum (SDF) on Thursday expressed outrage at the repeated defilement of the monument in Veljun, erected for victims of Fascism in the Second World War. The Forum regards this as "an act
committed by extremists who want thus to intimidate members of the Serb national community and impede their return." We deplore each act of such kind as anti-civilisation and anti-religious event, regardless of who were victims, read a statement issued by this organisation. The Forum said it was satisfied with Croatian Premier Ivica Racan's response who on Wednesday evening strongly condemned the incidents (first occurred on May 6 and the second on May 17) and demanded an urgent and efficient investigation. The Forum also expects from judicial bodies to punish perpetrators and prevent similar events in the future.(hina) mm ms
