CROATIAN ECONOMY PRESENTED IN VIENNA

VIENNA, May 15 (Hina) - A joint commission of the Austrian and Croatian Governments for economic relations started its three-day session in Vienna Monday. The session is being held as a part of the Croatian Days in Austria in May. The head of the Croatian delegation, Croatian Deputy Economy Minister Neven Mimica, on Monday attended the presentation of the Croatian Economy for members of the AEEC Club, an association of foreign companies in Vienna for the process of markets of central and eastern Europe held in the House of Industry in Vienna. Mimica also spoke about the first 100 days of the new Croatian Government and its economic programme. The attendants wondered about conditions of investing in tourism, power supply infrastructure, new power plants, the privatisation of the Croatian power supply company, health and telecommunications. They positively assessed the development of economy in Croatia, as well as conditions for investments, adding however, it was necessary to work on the increase of legal security of investors and the exchange of administrative procedure for new investments. The day of the Croatian economy will be held in the Austrian chamber of Commerce on Tuesday. (hina) it
