Premier Racan is to visit Great Britain between May 3 and 5, and will
be accompanied by Deputy Premier Slavko Linic, Economy Minister
Goranko Fizulic, and Deputy Foreign Minister Vesna Cvjetkovic-
Kurelec.
Racan and Foreign Minister Tonino Picula will visit Rome on May 8,
where they are to meet Pope John Paul II, and should hold talks with
an Italian delegation as agreed during the former Italian
government's mandate.
From Rome, Racan and Picula are to fly to Brussels, where they will
be joined by Croatia's Defence Minister Jozo Rados for a May 9
meeting with NATO Secretary-General George Robertson and NATO
ambassadors.
According to Kolaric, the Brussels meeting is of crucial importance
for Croatia, because it should review what Croatia's new
authorities have done in areas of special interest to Brussels,
namely, the implementation of the Dayton peace agreements,
including the revocation of discriminatory regulations on refugee
return, a transparent relationship with Bosnia's Croat military
component, and cooperation with the war crimes tribunal in The
Hague.
