ZAGREB, April 14 (Hina) - The United States Navy's ship, Oak Hill (LSD-51) will visit the southern Croatian city of Split between April 17 and 21, the United States Embassy in Croatian said in a statement Friday. The Oak Hill is one
of the three principal amphibious in the USS Wasp Amphibious Readiness Group, which is currently on a Mediterranean deployment under the command of the U.S. Sixth Fleet. The ship's personnel includes over 350 U.S. Marines from the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The Oak Hill is commanded by Jonathan C. Bess who assumed the helm in August 1999. The USS Oak Hill will tie-up in Split's City Port on April 17. It will be open for visits on Tuesday and Wednesday from 14.00-18.00.(hina) it
