MOSTAR WATER COMPANIES WILL INTEGRATE TO FORM SINGLE COMPANY MOSTAR, April 26 (Hina) - The Mostar City Council on Wednesday unanimously decided to integrate water companies from the eastern and western parts of the city into a single
company, which was what the World Bank had set as its condition for granting a US$12 million loan for the reconstruction of the city's water supply system. Negotiations about the organisation of a single water company in the city lasted 18 months because three Croat-dominated municipalities did not to accept it. Deputy High Representative in Mostar, Gerhard Sontheim, told reporters today's decision was a historic event for the city and its residents. Sontheim said the new company would hold its constituent session and appoint its director and deputy director on Friday.(hina) mm rml
