ZAGREB, April 19 (Hina) - Shareholders of "Nacional" weekly and the company's attorneys on Wednesday held a meeting at which they decided to file an official request regarding the annulment of the sale of "Vecernji list" daily, which
took place in December 1997, "Nacional" editor-in-chief Ivo Pukanic said in a statement. According to the statement, the decision has been made because the transcript of a conversation between Croatia's late President Franjo Tudjman and his advisor Ivic Pasalic of December 27 1997, which has been published by the media, proves beyond doubt that the sale of "Vecernji list" was illegal. It is reminded in the statement that the editorial board of "Nacional" had also made an offer regarding the purchase of "Vecernji list", which was eventually sold to Caritas Fund company from the Virgin Islands.
