ZAGREB, April 14 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan and Deputy Prime Minister Zeljka Antunovic on Friday met a delegation of Croatian displaced persons-returnees, headed by the president of the Association of Returnees,
Josip Kompanovic. The returnees informed the Prime Minister about the problems they were encountering, which referred to the budgetary funds for the reconstruction of houses, economic revival, and the creation of new jobs, the Government's public relations office said in a statement. Also discussed was the implementation of the Law on the Areas of Special State Concern and its drawbacks, as well as the return of Croatian citizens of Serb nationality. Racan said the government was implementing its policy to the benefit of all Croatian citizens, which also included the return of all refugees, the reconstruction of their houses, and the development of economy in war-ravaged areas.

Preparations for a donors' conference on the areas of special state
concern are underway, Racan told the returnees.
This government will change the character of the reconstruction
policy, which will show the effectiveness of the entire policy of
the new Croatian government. Croatia insists on the return of all
refugees regardless of their nationality or place of return, the
statement reads.
